Experienced attorneys

The Firm is generally managed by the Managing Partner who supervises a team of several senior attorneys, junior attorney and administrative staff. The individual transactions are usually managed by the senior attorneys with the active involvement and support of junior attorneys. Sensitive clients or commercially sensitive transactions are always personally managed by a partner of the Firm.

In addition to general legal expertise, each team member specializes in a specific area of law or specific branches of law. When required to carry out extensive assignments or to conduct complicated legal cases, we can assemble a legal team comprised of the necessary internal or external specialists which effectively utilizes the specific skills of individuals for the benefit of our client. The team of lawyers is supported by a number of experts specializing in various disciplines, as well as legal assistance and administrative staff.

The Managing Partner of the Firm and the main contact person is Mr. Peter Víglaský, a founding partner of the Firm. Before establishing the Firm he worked for several years as senior attorney in branches of international law firm White & Case in New York, Prague and Bratislava until June 2006. Then he co-founded a boutique Slovak law firm called HKV Law Firm s.r.o. and was a partner therein until the end of 2022.

He is a fully qualified Slovak advocate, holding a proper J.D (Juris Doctor) title granted by Comenius University Bratislava in 2000, and a member of the Slovak Chamber of Advocates from 2002.

More than 20 years legal practice, Peter Víglaský has focused mainly on mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, private equity and the entries of foreign investments into Slovak business companies, their management and final exits from target companies.

Recently he was very active also in the area of PPP projects related to road and highway infrastructure in the Slovak Republic, including concession agreements between foreign investors and the government, in the area of license agreements including agreements on protection of intellectual property in the projects and innovations, as well as in the area of establishment of private investment funds and management of private capital (private equity) in startup projects.

For many years is Peter Víglaský recognized as a top tier lawyer or highly regarded lawyer by reputable international ranking organizations Chambers Global/Europe, IFLR 1000 and Legal 500 in the areas of Corporate/M&A Banking & Finance, Capital Markets and Real Estate.

He fluently communicates in Slovak, Czech, English and German.
